Rhodum Levi Griggs, 71, 3425 Concord Avenue, died Tuesday at 12:55 p. m. at a local hospital after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. from Collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Mr. Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Cemetery with Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing. The body will remain at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Randall McMillican, J. C. Brown, Will Foster, Joel McClendon, W. C. Hamilton and George Wilson.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. E. L. Thatcher, Quantico, Va., Miss Gracie Griggs, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. L. C. Bridges, East Gadsden; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Morrow, Arab, Mrs. Pearl M. Ferguson, Alabama City; four brothers, Dr. J. C. Griggs, Arab, W. T. Griggs, Salinas, Calif., James S. and Everett Griggs, Oleander, Ala., and three grandchildren.
Mr. Griggs had been a resident of Etowah County for 37 years and was a salesman.
